We got far more than we bargained for when we decided to have a little fun on April Fools Day.
Dave Bellis came up with the idea for Chester’s first ever naturist shopping day. He posed for photos, stripped off for a promotional video, issued a press release and waited.
Before long the story got noticed by local media and was the morning’s big story on local radio station Dee 106.3 and in The Chester Chronicle. Then word started to spread on social media with thousands of Facebook and Twitter users sharing the video.
Before long, the newsroom at BBC Northwest picked up on the commotion and our video became a major talking point on the evening news programme.
